We ALL have goals, right? Some of us have HUGE goals and some of us have smaller goals, like surviving the week of both kids being sick. First of all, I believe it’s AH-mazing to have goals, to set yourself up for greater things. It’s about challenging ourselves, growing into the best versions of ourselves and having that fire in our soul! With that said, how many of us are guilty of getting SUPER obsessed with our goals? I’m talking “Everyday, Everynight, you eat, sleep and breath your goals”. Do you or have you woken up every single day thinking to yourself, “I’ve got to do this!”?
That’s amazing! Like I said, it’s great to have goals. It’s phenomenal and incredibly important to be excited and to have that fire in your soul. In the same breath, it’s also so important to find and be happy in the NOW. Enjoy the Journey! The journey should absolutely be part of the fun! So often we get caught up in what needs to happen, where we’re going, what is going to happen, the killer hot dress we’re going to wear, who’s going to see us in that killer hot dress, what we need to do to get there, and so on.
Take a breath.
I mean, seriously… Take. A. Breath. That breath can bring us back to the present.

Don’t miss out on the beautiful moments right in front of you. Chances are if you are constantly focused on the future and missing out on these moments in the NOW, you will miss out on the actual reason for your goal in the first place. Along with that, you will be missing out on the life with the people who love and support you and possibly lose them altogether. So many people plan for a future that, unfortunately, never comes. We just don’t know what tomorrow holds for us. So, take a breath, take the moments to love the NOW. Love the people in your life. Love the journey.
